Priscilla Jeong
Lash Blast x 2% Flourish
April 29 - June 5, 2016
Opening Reception April 29th, 6-9pm
Interstate Projects is pleased to announce the solo exhibition Lash Blast x 2% Flourish by Priscilla Jeong. The artist’s tears are saved in vials then mixed with a sugar solution to make molds and columns that creates a suspended maze through the gallery. The edge of what is décor and what is substantive takes the objects beyond precious things. Decay, heat, suspension, and the alchemy of the bodily being exposed makes these delicate works about more then just preserved emotions.
/
a plate of flourish, preserved by
obsessive encapsulation for decor
=======
flourish smoke runs down the left cheek screaming for 32k your blend of double-crossers has acquired.
tossing the .5 size offs in a freezing metal bowl, finds piles of shattered eyeshadows wanting to hydrate.
samurai signals his state of extravagant gesture prior to his onion slicing ritual, pocketing a handful of larkspur petals.
over night facial mask irritates and luscious satin celebrates with high tech attitude.
knockoff ysl cries, detained by customs, begging for clearance.
a digital amulet manipulates, prior to swallowing, calculates the position of the prey and compensates for refraction yawns.
tender, but extreme decor —
fragrant and flourish —
obsessive encapsulating of pathetic discharge and crystallization.
in the name of lash blast and techno salad.
